The language used to amend parliamentary bills can have unforeseen second meanings. Changes are made by taking out words and suggesting other to take their places. On the Sexual Offences Bill in May 2003 Baroness Noakes in the Lords tried this unfortunate amendment:-

Clause 1V line 22..Remove ‘genitals, insert ‘penis.’
