Epidemic of Royals
Why are there no major hospital named after Aneurin Bevan - even in South Wales? A group of Welsh Labour MPs pondered the failure to celebrate the Gwent founder of the NHS. Will the new hospital planned for south Wales really be named the "Royal Glamorgan ? We still have a glut of Royals even after the sad demise of the Cardiff Royal Infirmary. There's still the Royal Gwent. A wag suggested the location of the new hospital justifies a commoner's title. As it lies halfway between the Prince Charles Hospital and the Princess of Wales Hospital, perhaps it should named Camilla.
